Recruitment/Hiring Assistance

• The Heart of Knoxville Career and Resource Center offers employers opportunities to conduct on-site recruiting/hiring events at HOKCRC at no cost to them. Also the career center can pre-screen job applicants for employers if that is a need. Contact HOKCRC for additional information on the various recruitment and hiring services that are available to employers.

Assessments

• We offer employers skills assessments, such as, computer skills and customer service skills.

Internal Job Postings

• Individual job postings/listings can be developed and posted in the career center. Job listings may also be submitted and shown on the Tennessee Department of Labor job search website. Again, contact the career center for more information.

Career Center Job Fairs/On-Site Recruitment

• During the year HOKCRC conducts several job fairs at the Magnolia Avenue campus of Pellissippi State. The job fairs provide opportunities for employers (at no cost) to promote their organization and recruit from a diverse population of qualified job seekers. The job fairs typically draw employers and job seekers from the areas of administration, customer service, health care, business/technology and the construction trades. Check the “News” section for updates with information on the next scheduled job fair.

Employer Workshops

• Workshops on various employment and human resource topics are available to employers at no cost. The workshops can be developed to suit the specific needs of the employer. Workshops can be conducted at the employers’ office site or here at the career center. Contact the career center for more information on the workshop offerings.
